To access most features of TaleLingo, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate and complete
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use our Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

3. Subscription and Payments

3.1 Free and Premium Plans

TaleLingo offers both free and premium subscription plans. Free users have limited access to content and features. Premium subscribers enjoy unlimited access to all stories, vocabulary games, CEFR level tests, and other premium features.

3.2 Subscription Terms

• Premium subscriptions are available on a monthly or yearly basis
• First-time premium subscribers may be eligible for a 30-day free trial
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled
• Prices are displayed in your local currency and include applicable taxes

3.3 Payment and Billing

Payment is processed through Stripe or other payment providers. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. You are responsible for keeping your payment information up to date.

3.4 Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period. We generally do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods, except as required by law or at our discretion.

4. Content and Intellectual Property

4.1 Our Content

All content on TaleLingo, including but not limited to stories, illustrations, audio recordings, vocabulary lists, games, software, and user interface designs, is owned by TaleLingo or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

4.2 License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use our content for personal, non-commercial language learning purposes only. This license does not include the right to:

• Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display any content
• Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works from our content
• Use our content for commercial purposes or in any other application
• Remove any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access or download content

4.3 Your Content

Your learning progress, saved vocabulary, and personal settings remain your data. You retain ownership of any content you create or upload to the Service.

5. User Conduct

When using TaleLingo, you agree not to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Share your account credentials with others or allow others to access your account
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
• Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Service
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any software used in the Service
• Upload or transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful data
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users of the Service

Violation of these conduct rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

6. Termination

6.1 Termination by You

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your account and associated data will be permanently removed, except where we are required to retain certain information by law.

6.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
• Non-payment of subscription fees
• Extended period of inactivity

Upon termination, your right to access the Service will immediately cease. Any unused subscription period will not be refunded except as required by law.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
• Any specific learning outcomes or language proficiency levels will be achieved

Your language learning progress depends on your own effort, dedication, and individual circumstances. We provide tools to support your learning journey, but cannot guarantee specific results.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TALELINGO AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Service or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will:

• Post the updated Terms on our website and app
• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms
• Notify you via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before the changes take effect

Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you should stop using the Service and delete your account.

10. General Provisions

• These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and TaleLingo regarding the Service
• Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of that provision
• If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in effect
• These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand, without regard to conflict of law principles
• Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Thailand
